Hello This is my internship page.
This third design is a different take on our existing logo and keeps most of the elements I like, as well as the colors, which I appreciate. It is not a bad alternative, but, aesthetically, I do not like it better than what we already have and it does not include the text needed. 
I think having a design for the name of the organization is a positive thing, but this does not fit the bill. I know Niki mentioned in an earlier email to you about, when working with fonts, to make sure that the font works for the design. Because Golden Gate fREADom Writers is a long name, with a lot of letters, it is very important the font choice be clear. This font is not particularly readable. And the colors do not fit the color scheme I said I wanted (that which is already in the logo we have).
I am not sure what this design is supposed to convey. I assume the feather is supposed to be a pen, but this design lacks cohesiveness, color and doesn't really fit the parameters I set out. It is too simplistic and doesn't really convey with an image what the organization is about.
How I started:
The Organization’s mission statement is to support and protect the freedom of expression as a fundamental human right and the freedom of expression around the world can’t be silenced by anyone as stated. It’s an action to ensure everyone can have their voice heard.

The Freedom Writers vision can impact people in society as it is free to provide solidarity in our creative advocacy efforts. Setting events and creating a common space online as well as offline as to the mission to bond the community.

My role as an intern right now is to create a logo that can be represented on professor Zaertner’s website. There’s some ideas I have as to what can be said while still in the sketching stage. My work can contribute to the branding of the website and advertising for her group. I wish the further I get into these assignments I can further flesh out ideas or produce something that can be agreed upon not only for me but for both professors. It can also be representative of my own personal work, interesting to how this can turn out either positively or negatively but more importantly having fun with the moment of creating this icon.
